Answer: Civilizations were built on the banks of rivers because rivers provided essential resources like water for drinking, agriculture, and transportation.

Answer: Some civilizations that were destroyed include the Mayan civilization, the Roman Empire, the Indus Valley Civilization, and the Minoan civilization.
c) In which fields were people of the Indus civilization expert?
Answer : People of the Indus Civilization were expert in fields like urban planning, architecture, pottery, metallurgy, and trade. They were known for their advanced drainage systems and well-organized cities.
d) Where was first paper discovered?
Answer : The people of Egypt discovered Paper first.
e) Where was silk cloth first produced?
Answer: The chinese was silk cloth first produced.

a) Indus civilization
Answer: The Indus civilization And Harappa Mahenjodaro civilization in India was situated on the bank of the river Sindhu. It was a five-thousand-year-old civilization.In the city there were big bathrooms, big buildings, many forts and big halls. The roads were broad and drainage systems were very good.The people were expert in art and farming. They made utensils of silver, bronze and china-clay.
b) Mesopotamian civilization
Answer: The old Sumerian or Mesopotamian civilization was built up between the rivers Tigris and Euphrates. The present name is Iraq. The people were efficient in art and farming. They were also expert in astrology. They built their buildings with burnt-bricks.
c) Egyptian civilization
Answer: The Egypt civilization was built on the bank of the river Nile. The people of Egypt discovered Paper first. They also invented pictorial script. The Pyramids were also built in Egypt. Still now one can see them in Egypt. People used to make dead bodies into "mummies" using a special type of medicine and then put them into a grave. One can see this type of mummy at the museum. The king of Egypt was known as the Pharaoh.
d) River irrigated civilization.
Answer: These are civilizations that developed and thrived due to their reliance on river systems for irrigation, which allowed for large-scale agriculture and supported dense populations. Examples include the Indus Valley, Mesopotamian, and Egyptian civilizations.
e) Mummy.
A mummy is a deceased human or animal whose skin and organs have been preserved, either intentionally or accidentally, through exposure to chemicals, extreme cold, very low humidity, or lack of air. Mummification was a prominent practice in ancient Egypt for preserving the deceased for the afterlife.
