a) On which side of the road should we walk?

Answer: Always walk on the right side of the road

b) When should we cross the road ?

Answer – We should cross the road only at designated crossings (zebra crossings) and when the traffic has stopped.

c) What is a ‘zebra crossing’?

Answer: A zebra crossing is a type of pedestrian crossing marked with black and white stripes on the road, where pedestrians have the right of way to cross safely.

d) What are the safety rules for crossing the road?

Answer: The safety rules for crossing the road are to look right, then left, and then right again before crossing. You should only cross when the road is clear and at a zebra crossing or other designated crossing point.

e) What should you do while getting in or getting off a bus ?

Answer: When getting in or getting off a bus, you should wait until the bus has come to a complete stop. You should use the handrails and avoid rushing. When getting off, wait for the bus to leave before crossing the road.

f) Do you cross the road when the light is red ?
