1. Answer the following questions:
a) How did the different group leaders become emperors?
Answer: By gathering power through weapons, administration, and military expansion.
b) What did they do to rule over others?
Answer: They created a system of governance and military might.
c) What is a tributary state? Who is a tributary prince?
Answer: A state that sends yearly taxes to an emperor, ruled by a king known as a tributary prince.
2. Fill in the blanks:
a) To rule over others the kings made different types of weapons and became strong.
b) They appointed ministers They set up courts and appointed Judges. They engaged senapatis to capture small states. In this way they became emperors.
